Guest Blogger Amanda Emmert is in her senior year at a university in Dallas and plans to pursue a career in marketing. This busy volleyball player is also planning a June wedding and made some terrific save the dates that we wanted to share.
Let’s face it…planning a wedding is not always as fun as you imagine it to be. There are so many small details that can turn an excited bride-to-be into a big stressball. There’s coordinating specifics, paying unrealistically large sums of money, and trying to please your mother.
“Save the Date” cards are just so great because there is not pressure to make them perfect like an invitation. The can be short and sweet and still get the point across. I really wanted photos to be the focus of the cards because pictures can sometimes tell a better story than words can!

The first place I knew I could do this was on the FedEx Office Web site. Once there, I was prompted to select a layout…the designs are limitless! In my own attempt to be creative, I chose a blank card that I could design from scratch so I was able to easily use my picture as the front of the card. For the inside, I selected my favorite font with another good picture to add color. I was so excited to see, as I continued, that I could make the back fun too!! I put a picture of my ring and listed our wedding Web site.
